Total in filtered list
since a few days the totals at the bottom of my list don't show any more when I use a filter; does any one now the reason and above the cure to this malfunction? many anticipated thx

I have used this template since years across clients to follow up billing, money in and chasing; some few days ago the total line underneath, which updated when appying a filter, has gone away; I can't think of anything I would have changed in my spreadsheets (it's occuring for two differents similar spreadsheets for two different clients on two different computers).

is your filter applied to a range that includes the total line i.e, you apply the filter and therefore filter out the total line?
- fredgarcia75012Jul 29, 2024Copper ContributorI filter mainly by client or matter or by line colour, using the little triangle on top of each column (see screenshot below). Unless mistaken this does not imply a range. Obviously the filtering now excludes the total line, which did not happened until recently.

- SnarfyJul 29, 2024Copper Contributorremove all data filters. go to the end of the sheet and select everything from the far right of the last row just above the total row all the way to cell A1, then apply your data filter. That then applies to the range which now doesnt include your total row
