Symbols in the ribbon

I am updating my Excel Book for the Version Excel 2019. I have a fresh installation of the Home and Business Edition. The Version is 1810. The Ribbon has the symbols of Excel 2016. On my Excel 365 maschine I have the new Symbols of Version 1809, Build 10827.20181.

Now I'am not sure, which symbols I want to use for the screenshots. Will there be an update to the new symbols for Excel 2019 or not? New Books in US - Microsoft Press, use the old ribbon.

    Hi,

I think you mean the brand new and redesigned icons of the tools and controls in the ribbon.

If so, please note that this update is only for the 365 version of Excel and it will not come to Excel 2019.

In the Excel 2019, the ribbon has not changed in terms of the icons design from the previous version (Excel 2016).

But it has changed slightly on some tabs such as Data where Microsoft rearranged some of the tools in it.

So, if your book is talked about Excel 2019, not Excel 365, you can keep most of the old screenshots from the previous edition.

    Regards,

    Haytham
