SUMPRODUCT() Formula Query

Hello,

I'm facing issue while using SUMPRODUCT().

I have 2 different table (TableX and TableY).  

TableX = Contains Department, Candidates and Joining Date

TableY = Department, Candidates and New Column under which I want to populate the count Candidates who will join in specific month.

Below formula is not working.  Can someone please help on this ?

=SUMPRODUCT((TableX[Department ID])=A2)*MONTH((TableX[Joining Date])=6)

  • You might create a pivot table based on the first table.

    Add Department ID to the Rows area, Joining Date to the Columns area and Candidate Name to the Values area. Group the Joining Date by Months (and Years if applicable).
