I have a complete table with a large number of options, brand, price cost etc. The sales people go down this list and populate quantities purchased. I would like this information to summarized ...
Pivot Tables pretty much create themselves. If you've never used one, play around with it on your own. It should indeed do what you're asking.
There are YouTube videos that can help you get started, but basically you highlight the data tables (including the headings) and click on Insert....Pivot Table and follow the prompts. You're not going to break anything in the process, and you'll learn how. Create a safe copy of your data if you're worried about changes....
