SUMIF
Am I going mad? - Is the formula wrong, or is it not reading Column E because it, itself is a formula calculating the difference between C & D!?
Pulling my hair out!
Riny_van_Eekelen For the record, the problem was caused by an accidental circular reference in one of the formulas in column E.

Kybo59 It should work. What exactly do you have in Column D? It seems like they may be texts that look like numbers. But that would not happen if you entered a formula like =C2-D2.
- Kybo59Copper ContributorHi.
Columns C & D are just inputted numbers. Column E is D - C to calculate the difference. I have managed to get a true calculation using =SUMIF(B2:B82,"Golf Green Hall",E2:E82). My problem is that I cannot get it to calculate using "Community Centre" as the argument!..

Kybo59 Can you share a link to the file on Onedrive or similar?
