Sum Total from Merged Boxes with Drop Down

I just don't have the knowledge to do this. I have 7 boxes where you can choose 1, 3 or 5 from a drop down menu in each box. Each box is also 3 merged cells and there are empty cells between each. (a column of boxes)

How can I create a sum total that adds up the values in these dropdown boxes?

I'd insert a sample but I can't see a way to do that here.

Thanks!

You can upload a sample workbook to a cloud service such as OneDrive, Google Drive or Dropbox, obtain a link to the uploaded file and post that link in a reply.

If the cells in between are empty:

        =SUM(A5:A43)

If the cells in between could contain numbers:

        =SUM(IF(MOD(ROW(A5:A43),6)=5,A5:A43))

If you don't have Microsoft 365 or Office 2021, confirm the latter formula with Ctrl+Shift+Enter.
