Sum specific hours in an entire spreadsheet
I have a whole block of cells that I type specific times into. Each column is labeled as someone and I have to note each time that they bring me material, but I also need to know how many times in an...

So, in short, the workers bring me loads of material, I have to keep track of when they do, and I have to count how many they all bring per hour. So. I'm just wanting some cells to just tell me how many brought me material within a certain hour since I have to do other calculations including just that hourly number. Just saving some time, basically. It seemed like that initial calculation was what I was looking for, but it didn't give me anything but zeros.

That formula did work. The only time I'm having trouble getting a calculation for is for 12a-1a. I've tried typing it different ways thinking maybe it reads that time of day differently in the software, but it still comes up as "0." Any work around on that?

I wish you continued success with Excel! - TreetrunksMMJun 07, 2023Copper ContributorFinally got it. Lol. I didn't even think about being able to individually input the minutes and seconds as well. The workaround for the 12a-1a hour, since it just wasn't wanting to work like the other cells, was to just put it this way:
=COUNTIFS(A2:A1000,">="&TIME(12,0,0),A2:A1000,"<"&TIME(12,59,59))
This works perfectly for I need it to. Thank you so much for the help. I looked everywhere for an answer before I actually asked, but I guess this was a particular instance that people don't typically run into, but you stepped up. Thanks, again. - NikolinoDEJun 07, 2023Platinum Contributor
=COUNTIFS(A2:A100,">="&TIME(6,0,0),A2:A100,"<"&TIME(7,0,0))
I'm not sure how exactly it should look like, since the times and people are different. Attached is the file with the tests where the formula was used.
