SUM QUESTION

I need a formula that is will add five cells, then automatically subtract the lowest single cell, and then provide the sum of the highest four.

    Stated succinctly, you only need the sum of the highest 4 numbers. Assuming the numbers are in A1:A5, the formula you need is:
    =SUMPRODUCT(LARGE(A1:A5,
    ROW(1:4)))
