Subtotals and Counts by name
I have a spreadsheet with Name, Status, Worker Code and Gross Pay. Employees are listed multiple times due to multiple pay periods.
Name Status Code Gross Pay
Name 1
Name 1
Name 1
Name 1
Name 2
Name 2
Name 3
Name 3
Name 3
Etc.
How do you create a subtotal by name and include an employee count by code?
What do you mean by "an employee count by code"?
- Each employee is listed multiple times and there are five codes. Codes are the same for each individual employee. Suppose there are 20 employees in Code 5220, even though there are approximately 100 lines (due to employees listed multiple times because of multiple pay periods). I want to see that there are 20 employees in that code, not approximately 100. Hope that helps and does not confuse more! Thanks - Bob
Could you provide an example of what the output should look like?
A sample workbook would be handy too. Could you attach a small sample workbook demonstrating the problem (without sensitive data), or if that is not possible, make it available through OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox or similar?
