Stockhistory function is suddenly blocked
- Jul 11, 2023No update on how and when it will be resolved. But I've a work around that you can do - save the excel in one drive and then using the one drive URL of excel open it on a browser. It will work fine.
I too have the same problem since 10th July 2023. STOCKHISTORY() shows #Blocked error message. I am a subscriber of MS Office 365 and I am always logged in while using Excel. Is there any alternate way to bring NSE Stock Historical Data into Excel in an automated way?
another one here... full 365 license.... I have 3 computers, =stockhistory is working on one....issue started yesterday 7/10..... pretty sure update ran on two problem computers...
thanks for the temp workaround, sending link from onedrive to email... that worked, not ideal but for now, OK
appreciate the sharing here

If you don't mind me asking. Same file and same account on all 3 computers? Could you tell us what's different between the good one and the lousy 2 ones?

Sure, yes, same account (only have one MS 365 account). I have two desktops and a laptop. I've been testing some things using =stockhistory, in several excel files, all on OneDrive. Yesterday, one of desktops had Blocked error, tried several files on bath desktops, one worked, one #blocked, same file(s). Today I tested laptop and it also has #blocked error.
I reloaded MS365 on problem device before finding this thread so that might be the issue. FWIW, I was executing excel from local PC,
Hope that helps.

My guess that's licensing server unintendedly blocked some IPs for that functionality, thus somewhere works, somewhere not.
Hope it will be fixed.

Plus it's not working on their web platform as well.
But, on the other hand, some users seem able to use it, so it should not be a problem with their own data provider. 🤔
