Stock Data: Volume Average
I have been unable to verify what volume average is being used when syncing data on stocks. For example, if I input Amazon in cell A1 and use the formula =A1.[Volume average] it gives me a number but I cannot find that same number anywhere else online to confirm it is correct or what time period it is using for the volume average.
I know Excel is pulling data from Nasdaq but, again, I cannot match the number that is updated in the spreadsheet with any numbers under Amazon's quote on Nasdaq's website.
Does anyone know from where it is pulling the Volume average data?

I checked randomly a few stocks and it seems the average period is 10 trading days
Were you able to get hold of the documentation of the definitions of Stock Data Attributes like Beta and Volume Average ?
