Stock data for S&P 500

EXCEL 365 Stock data... Cannot retrieve S&P 500 (SPX) data. It instead retrieves an unwanted stock. I can get all other stocks including DOW and Nasdaq. How do I get S&P 500 (SPX) data.

    That's happened for me with BRKB. The STOCKHISTORY function needs BRK.B even though my broker uses BRKB.
    Try INDEXSP: .INX to see if it gets S&P 500. Look around at Yahoo Finance or Google Finance to see how they reference the S&P. You'll find--as I did just a few minutes ago--that SPX, yes, gets data on some organization named Spenda.Ltd. It's not just Excel, in short.
