State Map - Excel 2019

A wired problem here that few of the districts are not being recognized by Bing Map,
sample data enclosed.

First, it's better to give Excel bit more information, adding that such districts are in West Bengal which is in India. That's obvious for you, not for Excel.

Second, Map Charts is quite sensitive to column names, as well as place names. As soon as you rename column header from District to County, they will appear.

But not all. I do not recommend to apply Geography Data Type, if it's available for you, to Map Chart data, but I do recommend to play with data types and not recognised location names separately. It's good idea to check wiki and play with different variants of names if available. No straightforward rules, just play with variant.

Here I changed couple of names which were not recognized as

with other ones you may play yourself. Result is in second sheet attached.

  • Hello,

    South 24 Parganas

    and

    West Midnapore

weren't recognized by bing service. This kind of issues have been experienced by others including myself. All you need to do is send a Frown message to Microsoft. Click on File > Feedback > Frown. They will look into the problem
