Sparklines - Something is preventing them from updating
- Nov 20, 2020
When examining the file I noticed that it stemmed from a document from 2011. There’s no visible data in the file that’s related to 2011 but originally it’s a template that’s been build upon since then.
If I copy the sparklines from the problem sheet to a new file they work when the problem file has been closed and excel restarted. So the problem must lie in some residual data from 2011. I haven’t figure out exactly what’s the problem but the whole thing can be avoided if I update all my templates to new documents. Not exactly a solution but a work around.
I still have the problem that old documents hinders excel from calculating sparklines in new documents if there open at the same time so If anyone reads this in the future and know what could cause such behavior, please leave a comment below.

I'm not sure what is 2011, but yes, if check XML structure of the document there is a lot of other info within. The question is what exactly prevents updating of sparkling lines.
Anyway, good to know you close an issue by moving on new template, thanks for informing.
