"space" in number
Hello,
How can i remove a space in a number that has been saved as a currency?
EG: R1 200.00
I need the number to read as a Number, as in 1200, the space doesn't allow calculation columns or formulas when using the cell with the number that has the "space" It only Counts it.
Also, if I am autosumming the entire column, it will only sum the numbers that Don't have the space, e.g.: R495. Please help, I would need to take this away completely so all my formulas work
PS. When this is downloaded from the system, it is saved as "general". I have tried to change to Number and others but nothing is working
Select the range.
Press Ctrl+H to activate the Replace dialog.
Enter a space in the 'Find what' box and leave the 'Replace with' box empty.
Click 'Replace All'.
If that doesn't help. enter an R in the 'Find what' box and click 'Replace All' again.
