Sort new column on Excel table
Can't sort a new column on an Excel table. The column has all numeric data. Using PC Windows 10.
New column does not display table format.
If that's structured table you can't sort only one column. If not - select column and Data->Sort.
Check a setting in Options, Proofing, AutoCorrect Options..., AutoFormat As You Type. Make sure the second checkmark is set. Without it, a structured table will not automatically expend when you type something in adjacent rows and/or columns. That seems to be what's happening to you as you write "New column does not display table format.".
If that's structured table you can't sort only one column. If not - select column and Data->Sort.
