Hello Dave since the certificate works in Word but not Excel, I’d compare Office trust settings and document protection settings between the two apps. Also check whether the certificate includes the right Enhanced Key Usage for document signing and whether Excel is blocking it because of macro/security policy. Testing with a new blank workbook and a newly issued test certificate can help separate certificate issues from workbook issues.
