Sheet view in Desktop App and Sharepoint
I work in a large team of over 30 simultaneous users of the same Excel workbook and we have noticed a recurring glitch with Sheet View in the Desktop app on SharePoint workbooks which we believe is yet to be addressed by Microsoft.
The glitch is that although every user is automatically put into "their own temporary view" upon opening the Desktop version of the workbook through a macro, any filtering or sorting in their own view and subsequent closing down of the workbook in that filtered or sorted state also affects other users' "own temporary view" (which then reflects the filtering or sorting of the user that most recently closed down the workbook in that state).
Given the Sheet View feature's stated purpose being exactly the opposite (namely: preventing row filtering/sorting from affecting other users' views), we believe that the event described above is a glitch of the Desktop app feature and needs to be addressed by Microsoft.
Thank you for any clarifications on this.
