Can you please provide more info. Is this file saved on a local server or in Sharepoint? Are you accessing using the desktop app or the browser based excel? What happens when 2 people access together? Does 1 save and the other get an error or does 1 save and the other overwrites?
If you have it on Sharepoint and use the web-based Excel you should see each other editing live.
If you have on local server then 2nd person should get warning that file isn't available.
If in sharepoint you should get warning about not able to sync data because it was changed by another user
If in sharepoint but you have sync turned on then the sync will fail and you should see either an error on the file or the sync icon that never changes back to a check mark.
