Hi Euan,
This functionality was introduced in May this year for Office 365 subscribers in the build 8067.2115 (Current Channel).
It is unavailable if you are on another version and/or on build before (e.g. Deferred Channel)

The latest Semi-Annual update Version 1705 (Build 8201.2193) says it includes the personalized default PivotTable layout. I just updated to this version but still do not have Data in File>Options.

Data in Options was for a long while, what is added that

Thanks. When I go to File>Account, it shows Version 1705 (Build 8201.2193 Click-to-Run).
But when I go to File>Options, I don't see Data in the sidebar at all.
