To perform a selective sorting of blocks (row + column) and then have an alphabetical sort based on one cell, you can follow these steps in Excel:

    1. Select the entire block (row + column) that you want to sort.
    2. Go to the "Data" tab in the Excel ribbon.
    3. Click on the "Sort" button.
    4. In the "Sort" dialog box that appears, choose the column that you want to sort alphabetically in the "Sort by" dropdown list.
    5. Select "Values" in the "Sort On" dropdown list.
    6. Choose "A to Z" in the "Order" dropdown list to sort the selected column in alphabetical order.
    7. Click "Add Level" if you want to add more sorting levels based on other columns within the selected block. You can specify the sorting order for each level as needed.
    8. Click "OK" to apply the sorting.

By using multiple levels of sorting, you can achieve a selective sorting of blocks in Excel. The primary sorting will be based on the selected column, and if there are multiple rows with the same value in that column, Excel will consider the additional sorting levels to sort them further.

Keep in mind that the "Sort" feature in Excel works best with tables or structured data. If your data is not in a table, make sure you select the entire block (row + column) before using the "Sort" functionality. Additionally, if you want to sort specific ranges separately, you can use the "Sort" feature multiple times on different selections.
