Scientific notation

Question

Hello,&nbsp;I am trying to convert&nbsp; .39 as a scientific notation in excel or word, but I cannot see how you can do it.&nbsp;Any suggestions?&nbsp;Thanks&nbsp;Michael&nbsp;

Thanks for the reply. I need to do it to decimal places. Would that be 39.0E-02?

Hathaway7&nbsp;Don't understand. I entered 0.39 and that becomes 3.90E-01 when you format it as Scientific.
