scaning duplacate codes

i purchased a custom ticket system for advanced tickets sales it automatically generates the code using the ticket type date and time that no code are the same.

at my events i would like to scan the code into excel and if the same code is tried to be used it will tell me i have tried to use the auto sort but when i scan a duplicate code it puts it in a new cell and not sorted any ideas.
