Nowadays, Excel skills are one of the most important and required skills, so he has to learn the basics of Excel so he can comfortably use the Excel spreadsheet!
However, you can communicate with him directly and teach him how to use your Excel calculator spreadsheet or you can provide it with some documentation and comments on how to use it correctly.
