In the attached file, the formula in C2, copied down rows, is:
=IF(AND(ISNUMBER($B1),$B2>$B1),
$B2-$B1,
0)
Conversely, the formula in D2, copied down rows, is:
=IF(AND(ISNUMBER($B1),$B2<$B1),
$B1-$B2,
0)
