Remove #SPILL! in Excel web version

Hi, I'm using the web version of Excel (365?) and I keep getting a #SPILL! error when I'm using the sum formula.  I've not had this when I used Excel last (back in Feb) I don't want this formula to spill into the next cell, but can't find a way to remove this - I've looked on other forums and they say to press F5 etc. which doesn't work for me.  Please can you help?

If you don't want your formula to return the spill you need to rebuild the formula. Community could help with this if you give the sample of how do you use the formula.

  • Hi Rebecca_Elle

Your formula is having an array result and something might be obstructing to spill that information that the reason you are getting #SPILL! error. #SPILL! error introduce in Excel with new calculation to handle the array functionality the below screenshot might be helpful.

    Example :

We wish to return the range of from A1:A10 in cell range of D5:D15, unfortunately I was having text "Blocking" which is obstructing the result to spill. When we remove the text "Blocking" it will spill the information.
