Regression with some the independent variables missing some datapoints

I have a large spreadsheet with hourly data. For a time, one of the independent variables was not being collected. Can we use @NA or something similar in those hourly cells to have the regression work on the remaining independent variables and those datapoints on the errant variable to the best of it's ability?
