reference a table to expanding a table

Hi everyone!

I have a feeling I did something dumb and can't figure out what option I might have accidentally clicked off and my coffee supply isn't helping me figure it out. I have built this workbook to filter out columns of data I don't want and to run some basic equations from the master worksheet. The data comes from a CSV file that I convert and paste into it and the second worksheet has all of my data ordered how I need it to be.

What I am hoping to do is have my table in worksheet 2 "cleaned data" automatically expand to the correct row when I paste in my records into worksheet 1 "paste from csv".  Did I do something stupid or set it up wrong? Or is this something Excel just doesn't want to do?

Thank you for your help!

  • Hi,

That's job for Power Query - import your csv file, transform columns as necessary and land resulting table into the Excel sheet.

Perfect. I don't know why I didn't even think about that. I hit my head when I saw your response in my email
