Recent Excel Update - Addition Not Working

Downloaded MSFT update for Mac and the add/subtract function is not working. If you type "=A5+B10" by moving the cursor to B10 within Excel, the cursor goes to beginning of formula to the = sign.  This is not efficient compared to previous versions.  So now you have click each cell you want vs. scrolling within your spreadsheet.  Can this be fixed back to the old way or is this intentional?
