Spreadsheet corrupts upon saving it
Repairing Office won't resolve this issue. The error message cited: /xl/drawings/drawing1.xml which indicates there's a problem with objects (likely a very large number) in your worksheet(s). If you're copy/pasting content from the web to Excel, for example, this is one way to accumulate lots of objects inadvertently. You might also notice navigating the workbook is very sluggish.
If you can open the workbook cleanly, I'd go to Home | Find & Select | Selection pane and go through each sheet in the book checking the objects on each sheet.
Here's an example of a problem sheet with tons of objects:
Go to Special (F5 shortcut) | Objects is one way to select the objects and delete them quickly. If you have in excess of 10,000+, then the best option is to delete them in XML.
