This does not work for a collaborative work product which requires real-time changes and review of updates by multiple users.
I could understand working like this in a git environment, where the utilities available would give advanced options to push / pull and review changes between multiple versions, with one main version.
Not applicable for how users expect Excel in the cloud to function. Google sheets handles this type of thing just fine, by comparison.

What about if each user has their OneDrive auto synced to changes made on local version automatically get made on Cloud version in OneDrive? That's how mine works. Auto sync updates Desktop to OneDrive.
