Radio Butto Protection
When you protect the sheet, do not tick the check box 'Edit Objects'.
Users should then be able to click option buttons, but not edit, move or delete them.
Many thanks for the feedback! Yes, I also thought it should work that way. But as mentioned above, I cannot select options then! If I ticked the check box ‘Edit Objects’, I could edit, move or delete the radio buttons, but still not select any options!
As soon as I try to select an option on a protected sheet (regardless of the selected protection boxes), I get the following error message:
‘The cell or chart you're trying to change is on a protected sheet. To make a change, unprotect the sheet. You might be prompted for a password.’
Stupid, isn't it?

If the radio button is linked to a cell, that cell should be unlocked.
That is because clicking the radio button will change that cell's value, and that will fail if the cell is locked.
