What do you mean through a browser?
Do you want to update an Excel file on remote server like MS Forms?

Hi Peiyezhu
The Excel file is stored in SharePoint and I access it through a browser. I have an option to open in browser or open in app. If I open in the browser, I can't update using the Data tab, then Queries and refresh. Considering everything has moved to the cloud and the number of people who use this feature, I can't believe that this is not available by now and no one has a clue when it will be available.
Hope this helps,

I think you can edit in browser if the file saved in one drive or sharepoint.
