Python in Excel not available
Hello, I have an E5 license and a Windows 11 Enterprise installation and I have been trying to figure out why Python for Excel does not seem to be available.
I would enter my version numbers here, but I am not able to submit a post with it in. Suffice it to say, I am on current versions or preview versions of Excel (I have tried both)
I am on the Current Channel (Preview) Build of M365 Apps. I swapped to this because I was hoping it would trigger the feature.
If it makes a difference I do have Copilot for M365. I have tried both "=py" in a cell, which does trigger it properly in another tenant I have but not this one, and also do not have Python in the Formulas tab. Let me know if there is anything else I should be trying.
Thanks,
Josh

The only limitation I know Python is not supported for device-based licenses https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/python-in-excel-availability-781383e6-86b9-4156-84fb-93e786f7cab0
otherwise it shall be available on E5 Current channel for Excel desktop on Windows. Build number actually doesn't matter.
And it's better to repeat your question in comments to Python in Excel – Available Now

I have user-based licensing, and it's unfortunate if the answer is "at some point and for some non-public reason the features are turned on as we see fit", but I did talk to https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/cannot-access-python-in-excel/129800e4-d25f-4017-bf3f-0213e39d7930?messageId=2fee560e-f93d-456d-9d87-71c2ae614771 and since I do have a premiere support contract I filed a support ticket. If I find out there is anything people in my situation can do I will update this thread here.

Looks like a bug, thank you for sharing. As workaround temporary you may shift on Current channel, that's few minutes job.

Yeah, that doc says you need version twenty four zero seven and I have twenty four ten, but it is still not available.
