Pull Data from another sheet if number matches
I'm wondering how to take the information from the Inv column in sheet 2 and add it to sheet 1 if the Loan number matches? I have 2 separate reports and need to add information to the other. I can't just copy and paste because the one missing the info is just a portion of the total report.

In B2:
=XLOOKUP(A2, 'Sheet 2'!B:B, 'Sheet 2'!A:A, "")
Replace Sheet 2 with the real name of that sheet.
Fill down.
- Another question, would it be possible to pull the info from Inv from a different workbook completely? I'm condensing these down into a lot of smaller workbooks and would save a ton of time.
Yes. The easiest way to do this is to open both the 'source' workbook and the 'target' workbook, and to point to the relevant ranges while creating or editing the formula.
Then close the 'source' workbook. Excel will add the full path of that workbook to the formula.
Save the 'target' workbook.
