Jun 22, 2017I have done that. it doesn't let the user insert a row. the error message says "The cell or chart you're trying to change is on a protected sheet. To make a change, unprotect the sheet. You might be requested to enter a password"

If you lock cells in entire column when you are not able to insert rows since that's affect locked cells. If you lock only cells in some range, as in green on picture, when with protected as below sheet you may insert rows outside green area, and no way within it

Nope, just be sure you allow to select locked cells as here, when you may insert the row is the option checked. That's all depends on combination of options.
- KateLinTWMar 21, 2023Copper ContributorI clicked "Insert rows" and for my column A-C are not locked cells, I wonder why when my users try to insert a row from row 2, that worked. However, when they tried to edit cells, the warning message popped up and asked to unprotect the sheet? (FYI, If they edit existent cells, that worked just fine) Thank you in advance for your help.
