Problems opening the same file in Mac IOS and Windows

I work with Excel files that is in the server of the company. In these files, there are formulas that are linked with another files in the same server. If I open one file with my Mac, and nobody open it with computers with Windows, the links in these formulas work perfectly. But, if someone with Windows open the same file, the formulas looses these links and I need to rebuilt the formulas again. Does anybody can help me and tell me what I need to do or any other solution?
