Problematic evaluation of basic formula

Hello.

Im hoping someone can help me solve a very irritating problem that appears to have developed since moving to 365.

I have a standard spreadsheet that I use to do some basic calculations and (I suspect) since the move from the stand alone package to 365, i have found that the cells that calculate a subtotal and total sometimes fail to update.

There are no complicated formulas and all sheets and tables are set to calculate immediately.

I cannot afford to double check the calculation every time I enter the necessary data but if I fail to check it causes me other significant problems.

what I have to do now is force the cells to calculate by editing the cell and pressing enter.  Then the calculation is done and everything is good.

How do we make the cells remain current - automatic calculation

I'd start with going to Formulas menu | Error checking to see if there are any circular references holding up calculations.

      Thank you for the reply.

      There are no circular references.

For formula fails to calculate randomly (what seems to be randomly)

to get the calculation to update one can press F2 to edit the cell and then enter and the cell calculates.

I can send you a version of the sheet if that is in any way helpful
