Problem with cell position change randomly

I am facing problem of cell position change while referencing to a different worksheet within a workbook. For example, I have a data in sheet1, and I wanted to refer to this data in sheet2. I moved the pointer to cell A1 in sheet2 and typed "=sheet1! A10". I get the answer in cell A40, or G36, or random cell in sheet2, but not in cell A1 of sheet2. This is not an issue of absolute or relative reference. I have been using excel since long time but never faced this kind of problem. It happened today.
I contacted MS support team; they suggested account update and repair Office 365. But both did not work. Appreciate your kind advice.

- Thank you for you quick advise. I managed to resolve this issue today morning.
First, I opened the excel in safe mode and noted that my issue is resolved. Thereafter, I removed all the add-ins; and it worked. So, this problem seems to be due to incompatibility of excel and add-in. I would say my problem is resolved temporarily and hope it will work when I start to add the add-in slowly. I hope MS excel team will work on this issue and develop updates and patch-up etc as needed.
