Printing Reciepts from Excel on a dot matrix printer
Hi all,
Need some advise on dot matrix printing and excel.
I'm looking at setting up a dot matrix printing system at work to generate till reciepts for our business, and then print on triple carbon paper so have customer, office and warehouse picking copies.
We currently use both a Google sheets document and Excel document with databases and vlookup to generate quotes and invoices and print them on a standard inkjet printer.
My question is prior to buying a dot matrix printer and all the paper will excel be able to print these as normal to a dot matrix printer? Or will they have to be a specific layout or spreadsheet type?
Can't find a great deal of info online about it and don't really know much about this type of printing or its compatability with programs like excel, Google sheets etc
Any info from anyone that uses this style of dot matrix printing system for POS till systems with excel or any other ideas would be much appreciated

Kiegilmour If you want to use the printer's fonts directly, try to set it up as a generic text printer.
Hi Kiegilmour;
You can use the dot matrix printer to print excel, compatibility will be based on your operating system not based on excel. You should check your OS should supports that printer.
Use the font "Courier New" that will work great with dot matrix printer
