prevent copying or duplicating a worksheet
when I press <ctrl> key and at the same time use mouse pointer to drag sheet to the right - it creates an exact copy of the worksheet - HOW CAN I PREVENT THIS? or how to deactivate this function.. many thanks
Hi Lorenzo Kim, can I ask why you want to do this? If you go to the Review Tab and select protect workbook that will prevent any changes to tabs

I created a costing file and there is one sheet that serves as template and It should not be replicated for it would mess up everything - that is why I wanted to sort of 'freeze' it - though they could input data to it but should not be duplicated
I used the protect function but it does not prevent the <ctrl> key plus dragging of the mouse pointer to the sheet from making a duplicate copy.

the protect workbook will prevent the sheets from being copied all right - but it does to all worksheets; what I need is to deactivate copy sheet to only one specific worksheet - not to all -
