populating Gantt chart
Hi All,
Apologies, worked in numbers prior and now shifting across to Excel, so trying to adjust and whilst some things are similar, some I need help, also as I am trying to up my skills...
Refer to attached PDF.
I am working on a Gantt chart (project schedule), which we require for a project.
Ideally this chart gets fed / populated by information from seperate feeder sheets (weekly team meetings, NSW public holidays,...).
The idea is to create the feeder sheets (probably somewhere between 10-20 in total) with events on specific dates and these feed automatically into the Gantt chart, pulling always information from the B column in the feeder sheet into the correct row and corresponding date of the Gantt chart.
The project is scheduled for approx. 4 years, so a bit of ground to cover.
I understand (but don't know the best and exact way) that this can be done with a type of lookup, or match/index or even just conditional formatting, so I am after suggestions on what works best and more importantly how.
I tried to find examples from templates or within forums, but have not come across anything like this, so hope somebody out there is able to help.
Many thanks, PAB

Thanks NikolinoDE I had come across these already in my research prior to posting this and unfortunately could not find anything that seemed to fit. I got a basic XLookUp working, but just does not feel very sophisticated and I am sure there are much better ways around.
