Please Help!

I'm in the process of learning about Conditional Formating and I have a set up like this:

Cell A1 = Current date or todays date

Cell B1 will = Overdue ( cell highlighted will=yes ) or ( cell blank will =no )

Column B2 thru.. say B900 will = Date due (Conditional Formating = highlight anything equal to or less then A1, which works great).

What I would like to do if possible, since my sheet is so long, is have Cell B1 highlight if any cell in column B2 thru B900 is highlighted, per the Conditional Format set up for those cells. I'm real new at excel so looking for a specific how-to (if I can even accomplish this at all). Thanks.

  • Hi Bobby,

To highlight B1 add new rule:

and apply it to the cell B1 only (here i took B2:B24 to generate the picture, in your case it'll be B2:B900)
