Pivot Table

Hi, im a novice working with pivot tables.  i can do the basics.  I have a report that is showing duplicates in the row labels.  The report has about 5000 lines, each has one of 4 priority levels assigned to it.  Im trying to add priority level to the row label but the report is now listing High 3 times, Low 9 times and Medium 9 times, etc. Why?
