Pivot table with dates

I have a file (attached) with 300 rows and 200 columns filled with dates, I am not able to create a pivot table, end result I need to filter based on dates to get required data, any help?   I want ...

Hello Patrick2788 

 

I want two views 

 

1) monthly view with all stock/index and dates are in that selected month

 

2) date view of stock that fall on current or selected date

 

3) select a stock or sector and it should give dates

 

Any help would be highly appreciated.

    Thanks for your quick support. On a high level I think we have found the solution, I have  made a new pivot please check, its midnight here in India and I will continue to do deep dive into this file tomorrow and provide you feedback.

     

    Can you pls let me know how you converted this into table 300x300 into 7x49000 table. Initially I thought about this but though its lot of manual work. But each cell was a calculated cell, now by moving to this format the calculations are gone, how to make this scaleable solution. 

     

    Once again thank you, will discuss more tomorrow.
