On a Mac myself, and understand that you need to install an ODBC driver first. Never had the need myself, so can't help with that, but it's described in the above links.

danke, aber das klappt leider auch nicht. Ich bekomme gar nicht die Möglichkeit, dass ich eine lokale Datei auswählen kann.

andreasbehr Because you don't have the ODBC driver installed. I get the exact same message on my system. You need the driver first before you can start connecting to externa data sources.

which driver did you install? I downloaded this one here: http://www.odbcmanager.net/about.php but it didn't work for me.
Can you connect to a local file with the right ODBC driver?
