Pivot Charts not loading in 365
I keep getting this error message
What could be causing this ?
It is a template that loads when filled with data and refreshes when opening.
Any ideas ?

Try this:
- Open the Template Without Refreshing
- Hold Shift while opening the file to prevent automatic refresh.
- This lets you inspect the PivotTable setup before Excel tries to repair it.
- Check Source Data
- Ensure all PivotTables have valid, complete source ranges.
- Make sure every column has a header and no merged cells.
- Rebuild PivotTables
- If Excel removed them, you’ll need to recreate the PivotTables from scratch.
- Save a backup before doing this.
- Disable Auto-Refresh on Open
- Right-click the PivotTable → PivotTable Options → Uncheck “Refresh data when opening the file.”
- Inspect External Links
- Go to Data → Edit Links and remove or update any broken connections.
- Use Power Pivot Carefully
If you’re using Power Pivot, ensure the data model is intact and that field names haven’t changed.
