Pictures in Cells (excel 2024)
Hello everyone.
I am having a problem with excel 2024. I uses windows 11. When I try and insert, pictures, from device (and either in .jpeg or .png file format, the image goes into the cell. I then save the file, butttt next time I open the file I get, "UNKNOWN!" in the cell. Inserting the image into a shape is ok, but won't work as a vlookup in the program. I might even be happy if the darn picture would just stay there. Any ideas would be appreciated.

can you share the sample file to have look , look like you need to repair you office. repeat the same using excel online and see what happens ? or might be some compatibility issues if you are opening on another system.
hello and thank you for your offer to help. as I said I'm using Office 2024 (recently purchased) and windows 11 all are up to date for updates. Here are a few images that I want to place in the cells. At the time of insertion the go in just fine. I save the excel file, close and then later when I open the file the images are NOT there. I have had other people insert the images, and they stayed. However their version of excel is in Office 365. I'm told that the software is the built similarly. Can you please check and get back to me.
