PERCENTAGE
40% OF $20000.00? I am new at this soplease forgive me, what is the formula of percentage of a dollar amount?
Enter 20000 in a cell, say in A1.
Format the cell with the value as Currency or as Accounting from the Number Format drop-down on the Home tab of the ribbon.
In another cell, say B1, enter the formula =40%*A1 (where A1 is the cell with the dollar amount)
