Pasting links

I know how to create a pasted link from one workbook to another but I want to know if it's possible to copy/paste (as link) so that the DESTINATION file does not fill cells that are BLANK in the SOURCE file.

I have several such pages that are VERY large and to edit out the blank cells in the destination file is very time consuming.

As a note, I do NOT know VBA so creating a macro do to that is not on the radar.  Can anyone assist with a solution or put me out of my misery (or further into it) by telling me it can't be done?
